Rethink 9/11: A Letter To Peace Activists

Dear Every Peace Activist,
The world dramatically changed on 9/11, though, not for the reasons that were given by the Bush administration less than twenty four hours after the attacks, but for reasons that are deeply disturbing, and revealing; reasons that are either unknown, or have been repressed by activists in the peace movement.
As we enter the ninth anniversary of the War on Terror, the war in Afghanistan is intensifying, tensions in Iraq are resurfacing, and the possibility of a U.S. led attack on Iran is growing daily. Reflection upon the central premises and objectives in America’s vast military enterprise in the Middle East has never been more urgent. The stakes have been raised.
Questioning the official story of 9/11 is now a matter of human survival. We can not ignore the calling of history any longer. We live in a state of perpetual emergency; every moment is vital, every second counts, every day that passes is a missed opportunity to right a horrible wrong.
Correcting our flawed judgment of the 9/11 events nine years later is not an easy task; raising doubt about the official story challenges assumptions and beliefs that have taken hold in our innermost core. But once we see with new eyes, constructing a new peaceful world becomes possible. Professor David Ray Griffin has made it less hard to see through the lies and propaganda by painstakingly excavating all the facts that are recoverable about 9/11, and then juxtaposing them with details of the official story in his article, “Did 9/11 Justify the War in Afghanistan?” Professor Griffin calls the war in Afghanistan “an abomination,” and unjustifiable.
Thanks to his efforts, and the efforts of others, two narratives have clearly emerged – the first starts from a blatant falsehood that was told to the world on 9/11, and forces people to view the present and the future through the narrow lens of fear, and endless violence; and the second begins with a clear truth about the evil that was done on 9/11, and asks of us to collectively challenge the authority of the U.S. government if we are serious about world peace.
As of now, many activists are trying to build peace on the ground that was laid by the hands of war. It is a hopeless way to build peace. Sisyphus had a better chance of rolling his rock up the hill. For peace to be achieved, we must all call for a new independent investigation into the 9/11 attacks.
The truth about 9/11 is so explosive that if fully admitted, any lingering public support for America’s wars in the Middle East would totally collapse, and the ground on which the masters and dogs of war are wreaking destruction will breakdown overnight.
Opposing a war of perceptions without a firm grasp of the truth is like fighting with a pointless spear. Why oppose the war on terrorism at all if you are not determined to attack the basic claims, and justifications made by its extreme proponents? Creating peace in our time can’t be done unless we separate perception from reality, propaganda from news, lies from the truth, and speak our minds accordingly.
As the savage in war that aims for, and seizes the heart of his foe, fighters for peace have to challenge a war at its roots, and destroy its reason for being. In other words, fight fire with water. It is better to take the moral high ground, and strike a blow against the devil from heaven than in hell.
What’s the point of asking those in power to give peace a chance? They will never give it. Instead, let’s make them tremble if they refuse our demands for an immediate end to the war on terrorism. Let’s be disturbers of the war. And to disturb means to tell it like it is; the war on terrorism is mythology, the official 9/11 story is a fairy tale, and Al Qaeda is a fictitious villain. We must control the narrative, and let the truth shine.
Gen. John Abizaid, the former U.S. Commander of CENTCOM, told the Washington Post’s David Ignatius in December, 2004 that; “Victory will be hard to measure,” and that; “Success will instead be an incremental process of modernization of the Islamic world, which will gradually find its own accommodation with the global economy and open political systems.” Such close-minded and reactionary thinking in America is what angers the people of the Middle East. American soldiers are bound to leave the entire Middle East in flames as long as they believe in the flawed historical analysis of high-up military commanders like Gen. Abizaid, and Pentagon bureaucrats like Robert Gates.
If you are serious about world peace, then you must take an honest look at the evidence about the nature of the collapse of the twin towers, and World Trade Center Building 7 that has been gathered by Professor David Ray Griffin, Richard Gage, AIA, Dr. Steven E. Jones, Dr. Niels Harrit, and others, and treat it seriously. The implications are undoubtedly grave, but we must face the facts. This is not the time to keep silent, to look away, and to pretend a controversy doesn’t exist. We must tread these waters, or else we will all drown in them. As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said in his speech, “Beyond Vietnam – A Time to Break Silence”, that was delivered on April 4, 1967 at Riverside Church in New York City:“We are now faced with the fact, my friends, that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us standing bare, naked, and dejected with a lost opportunity. The tide in the affairs of men does not remain at flood – it ebbs. We may cry out desperately for time to pause in her passage, but time is adamant to every plea and rushes on. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words, “Too late.” There is an invisible book of life that faithfully records our vigilance or our neglect.”
Also, read the wise words of John F. Kennedy in his Commencement Address at American University in Washington D.C., on June 10, 1963. Here is a brief excerpt:“What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children — not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women — not merely peace in our time but peace for all time.”
Let’s abandon the nightmarish road that we are on, and work to bring the dream of world peace that both men shared to life. If we do not raise our voices now, while we still can, then shame on us.

Queen to unveil 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero in first visit to New York since 1976

The Queen is to visit Ground Zero in New York for the first time tomorrow when she will lay wreath where 3,000 people died in the September 2001 terror attack.
She will also open a British Garden of Remembrance that has been dedicated to the 67 British victims of the tragedy.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg will accompany the Queen to both ceremonies which will also be attended by families of British victims.
Other members of the Royal family, including Prince Charles and Prince Harry, have previously visited Ground Zero to pay their respects.
But, as the most senior royal, the Queen’s visit is highly anticipated by New Yorkers and the families of victims.
The Queen will not make a speech at Ground Zero but is expected to make reference to the tragedy when she later addresses the United General Assembly for the first time in more than 50 years.

Malaysia’s Mahathir Mohamad has once again stated that the September 11 attacks were a staged event, rejecting claims that his comments are a publicity stunt.“What do I gain from a publicity stunt? I am merely going by a public statement. I am not going to be a Prime Minister anymore unless you (pointing to a journalist) want me to …” the former Malaysian prime minister told reporters on Friday.
After watching a three-hour video of the attack on the World Trade Center buildings, Mohamad, had suggested earlier in his blog that the twin towers had collapsed “demolition style.”
“The way the tower came crashing down was also funny. People who saw it were also not ordinary people. They were professional engineers and what they say is quite credible.”

Plan to Aid 9/11 Victims Is Rejected in House

House Republicans on Thursday blocked a Democratic plan to provide billions of dollars for medical treatment to rescue workers and residents of New York City who suffered illnesses from the toxic dust and debris at ground zero.
A majority of the lawmakers in the chamber supported the bill, but the 255-to-159 vote fell short of the two-thirds margin needed under special rules that were used to bring the measure to the floor. In the end, 243 Democrats and 12 Republicans supported the measure; 155 Republicans and 4 Democrats opposed it. Democrats used rules requiring a wider majority for approval to prevent Republicans from offering amendments on the floor that would embarrass Democrats in an election year.
Republican opponents of the legislation expressed concern over the $7.4 billion cost of the program. But Democrats accused Republicans of being callous and vowed to bring the bill back for another vote in the fall.

1. Hello Islamophobes, ADL agents, Mossad agents and just plain assholes who think that Dr. Terry (Slave Labor for Jesus) Jones is as cool as Pam Geller (actually, he is better looking) because he wants to burn a book he has never read.
No, I’m not talking about the Qur’an, not even the Bible, I’m talking about the Talmud. That’s right, Dr. Terry Jones of the Dove World Outrage Center agreed publicly this weekend to toss in a couple of copies of the Talmud into the fire when he, showing his Christian love, will also be burning copies of the Quran.
Please join him, and I hope, Michael Collins Piper, on Sept. 11th for this occasion and be aware that this is a BYOT event.
For Shas Party members – BYOT means “Bring you own Talmud” and please be ready to toss it into the fire.
Below is an excerpt from Dr. Jones’ interview this weekend with Mark Glenn at the end of which Glenn asks Jones to toss in a couple of copies of the Talmud into the fire. Jones agrees to do so.
Oh, wait, before I give you the link to the sound clip and to the entire interview, did you know that the Mossad approached Phil Tourney last Friday night in a very threatening manner over his book “What I Saw That Day”? During that meeting the Mossad guy told Phil that they would be visiting Phil’s friend in Idaho too. Mark, who co-wrote the book, lives in Idaho. I’m sure this is just a coincidence. Hope you FBI dudes who read this blog take note of this. Mark has gone to the FBI today and reported the issue in detail, btw. But I digress.

Michael Sheehan, former Deputy Commissioner for Counter Terrorism NYPD, attempted to bat down a series of questions about 9/11 truth, the Oklahoma City Bombing and even the JFK assassinations. Despite the fact that 6 of 10 commissioners in the 9/11 investigation questioned its processes and conclusions, Sheehan claims that the investigation commissioners were generally satisfied. Max Cleland, who resigned from the 9/11 commission called it a “national scandal.”

This article was published as a guest column in the Bloomington Herald-Times by Kevin Ryan, a member of the 9/11 Working Group of Bloomington.
Over the past three years, a group of concerned Bloomington citizens has worked to raise the public consciousness about the need for 9/11 truth.
These folks are sometimes called “conspiracy theorists” because they do not believe the official version of events. Once people get by their initial reactions to 9/11 questioning, however, much can be learned in the process.
To begin with, we all understand the definition of a conspiracy to be a secret plan, among two or more people, to commit a crime. Yet when faced with emotionally charged events like 9/11, many of us pretend that the definition of the word has changed.
Undoubtedly, there are significant psychological challenges related to our understanding of 9/11, and the public response to both official and alternative explanations bears this out. Understanding those barriers might help us to discover the complete truth and thereby end terrorism and the related wars.
With this in mind, many professional people are calling for a new investigation into 9/11. They include more than 1,200 licensed architects and engineers, and other groups representing hundreds of religious leaders, firefighters, lawyers, medical professionals, scientists and intelligence officers, among others.
Two such people will join us this year at the Buskirk Chumley, for another free presentation at 7 p.m. on Sept. 4. Buddhist scholar Graeme MacQueen and behavioral neuroscientist Laurie Manwell will speak on the topic of “Peace through Truth: 9/11 and State Crimes Against Democracy.”
Everyone who is concerned about terrorism, and who hopes for peace, is welcome and encouraged to attend.

(SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA) – In what may be the first of it’s kind in the nation, a group of 9/11 Truth activists organized, designed and paid for a commercial billboard in which 1,200 Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth invite the public to “Examine the Evidence.”
The 24’ (w) x 12’ (h) billboard was installed sometime Thurs. afternoon, Aug. 5, 2010 on South Higuera, just south of Elks Lane.
The activists who have brought this matter to the people of SLO County who drive by this area realize that the evidence we are attempting to share is difficult to digest. Many simply cannot bear to question 9/11, knowing somewhere deeply in the collective unconscious that the truth may be more than we can stand.
In order to understand the facts regarding the collapse of 3 modern, high rise buildings one has to free ourselves from our preconceived notions.
Of course to investigate 9/11 carries with it the burden of doing something about it. While this is true, no one is asking any one of us to save the world single handedly. It does not take long to get educated (just go to http://www.ae911truth.org/).
The volumes of evidence presented include a peer reviewed paper published by an international team of scientists that positively found unignited thermite in all 4 samples of World Trade Center dust they tested.
There has been no coverage of this paper in any of the mainstream press, including the so-called “Left media.”

New Evidence Of Controlled Demolition On 9/11

The International Center for 9/11 Studies has secured the release of hundreds of hours of video footage and tens of thousands of photographs used by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for its investigation of the collapse of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7. This material is being released to the Center under the Freedom of Information Act, in response to a lawsuit the Center filed against NIST.
The Center filed a FOIA Request with NIST on January 26, 2009, seeking production of “all of the photographs and videos collected, reviewed, cited or in any other way used by NIST during its investigation of the World Trade Center building collapses.” Following several unsuccessful attempts to get NIST to even acknowledge receipt of the Request, the Center was forced to file a lawsuit on May 28, 2009. Shortly after the lawsuit was filed, the Request was assigned a reference number, and NIST began periodically releasing batches of responsive records. To date, the Center has received over 300 DVDs and several external hard disk drives that contain responsive records – more than 3 terabytes of data so far – and NIST has indicated that additional records will be released in the future.
We are currently looking at the best ways to distribute these materials to interested researchers and journalists around the world. It has taken NIST more than 8 months so far to produce a partial archive of photographs and videos in their possession, but we hope to be more efficient in our efforts. Because of the huge volume of data, we are working on a wiki-style website to facilitate review and discussion of any interesting items that are discovered by researchers.
Justin Keogh, our Chief Technical Officer, is preparing the website and materials for release. The first batch of materials we are releasing is a group of video clips sent to us on an external hard disk drive labeled “NIST WTC Investigation Cumulus Video Clips.” We believe NIST entered these clips into a searchable database called the Cumulus database, and used them as the basis for the investigation and reports. Researchers may be interested to see which video clips NIST determined were important to its investigation, and compare these clips to the raw footage we release at a later date. Justin will be posting more details about the data release in the next week or two. Although the Center has extremely limited resources with which it can review this mountain of data, several interesting items have already been discovered. Below are five items the Center has uncovered so far. The items below have not been altered from the original provided by NIST, except in three cases where a short section of footage was extracted from a much longer video. Otherwise, no alterations have been made to the video or audio. For the best viewing experience, you should watch all of the videos below in the highest resolution available. We will supplement the list below in the coming days and weeks.
1. Video Footage of Explosion Before Collapse
In the video below, at about the 0:59 mark, a high-pressure explosion occurs in one of the Twin Towers, below the impact zone, while the building is still standing.
In the final report on the collapse of the Twin Towers issued by NIST, it appears to attempt an explanation for this explosion by suggesting it is a smoke puff resulting from a pressure pulse inside the building, perhaps from a collapsing wall or ceiling, or sudden opening of a door. (See NCSTAR1-5A, p. 52) However, as can be seen from the screen capture below, it isn’t merely smoke and dust being ejected. There appears to be a massive object being ejected along with the explosion.
2. Audio Evidence of Explosions During Collapse
Several videos released to the Center have clear audio tracks that contain distinct sounds of explosions occurring at the World Trade Center. These audio tracks provide support to the many eyewitness statements referring to explosions occurring when the buildings collapsed. Explosions can be heard at the initiation of the South Tower collapse in the following two videos. The explosions are clear enough at normal volumes, but turning your speaker volume up a bit can help provide a full appreciation of the sound.
The video below contains distinct sounds of explosions occurring throughout the collapse of the North Tower. The native audio track is at very low volume, so your speakers should be turned up enough to hear the explosions. (Please be careful to turn your volume back down after watching this video.)
In the next video, a loud, low-frequency boom can be heard just before the east penthouse of WTC 7 falls.
David Chandler will soon be publishing a video that contains a more in depth analysis of this footage, including audio enhancements of the explosion.
3. Visual Evidence of Explosions During Collapse
Several videos also have clear visible explosions that occur above the airplane impact/collapse zone in the South Tower. In the video below, the collapse begins at about the 3:45 mark. If you watch the corner of the South Tower nearest the camera, at a point about halfway between the airplane impact zone and the top of the building, you will see puffs of smoke and a flash at about the 3:49-3:50 mark. The corner of the building also appears to lose structural support (or “kink”) at this same location. These are the obvious result of explosive charges severing the steel structure at the near corner.
In the next video, a similar phenomenon can be seen, but from a different angle and not quite as clearly.
The video below is raw footage from a news outlet of the South Tower exploding. Explosions can be seen ahead of the collapse front. The newscaster even calls it a “huge explosion.”

New Evidence Of Controlled Demolition On 9/11

The International Center for 9/11 Studies has secured the release of hundreds of hours of video footage and tens of thousands of photographs used by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for its investigation of the collapse of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7. This material is being released to the Center under the Freedom of Information Act, in response to a lawsuit the Center filed against NIST.
The Center filed a FOIA Request with NIST on January 26, 2009, seeking production of “all of the photographs and videos collected, reviewed, cited or in any other way used by NIST during its investigation of the World Trade Center building collapses.” Following several unsuccessful attempts to get NIST to even acknowledge receipt of the Request, the Center was forced to file a lawsuit on May 28, 2009. Shortly after the lawsuit was filed, the Request was assigned a reference number, and NIST began periodically releasing batches of responsive records. To date, the Center has received over 300 DVDs and several external hard disk drives that contain responsive records – more than 3 terabytes of data so far – and NIST has indicated that additional records will be released in the future.
We are currently looking at the best ways to distribute these materials to interested researchers and journalists around the world. It has taken NIST more than 8 months so far to produce a partial archive of photographs and videos in their possession, but we hope to be more efficient in our efforts. Because of the huge volume of data, we are working on a wiki-style website to facilitate review and discussion of any interesting items that are discovered by researchers.
Justin Keogh, our Chief Technical Officer, is preparing the website and materials for release. The first batch of materials we are releasing is a group of video clips sent to us on an external hard disk drive labeled “NIST WTC Investigation Cumulus Video Clips.” We believe NIST entered these clips into a searchable database called the Cumulus database, and used them as the basis for the investigation and reports. Researchers may be interested to see which video clips NIST determined were important to its investigation, and compare these clips to the raw footage we release at a later date. Justin will be posting more details about the data release in the next week or two.
